Tell us a little bit about yourself.
I'm Sam and I'm a Glaswegian Silversmith who loves bikes!
How did you get in to cycling?
I got into cycling properly after working as a London Bike Messenger and via a few bike mad pals. It was road cycling that first that grabbed me, then I started riding gravel a few years ago which really opened up Scotland for me.
Could you tell us a little bit about the event and what riders can expect from the route?
Lisa (GCF founder) and I always wanted to put on a led ride as part of the coffee festival as decent coffee and bikes go so well together. I know I'd ride 70k to get a decent flatty so I'm sure others would too ! This route is a favourite of mine and my pals, it’s takes in some of Ayrshires loveliest lanes and has a belter café stop!
How can people get involved?
If interested, folks can sign up via the Glasgow Coffee Festival ticketing site here.
What is your go-to coffee order?
I am a Flat White lass and proud.
What is your favourite Glasgow Cafe?
Glasgow has so many amazing coffee shops it’s difficult to choose just one. My favourite Glasgow Cafe is probably Papercup, but I also love Verse, Zennor and Toro too!
