FAQs

THE GLASGOW COFFEE FESTIVAL WILL BE HELD IN THE GRANDEUR OF THE PUBLIC HALL AT THE BRIGGAIT.

In 2014 we launched the first ever coffee festival in Scotland! The event has expanded from a one day session to four sessions over two days!

Glasgow Coffee Festival 2023 was enjoyed by over 2000 coffee lovers from across Scotland and beyond. They enjoyed a weekend filled with talks, tastings, workshops and, of course, plenty of delicious specialty coffee from Scotland’s top cafes and roasteries.

This year, thanks to your support, our single-use cup free approach was able to save an estimated 14,800 single-use cups from landfill, diverting 545.29kg of carbon dioxide and saving 48.84kg of plastic waste.

This years profits will help establish a coffee scholarship, in partnership with Hub International. This scholarship aims to provide young people in Scotland with the skills needed to achieve a career in specialty coffee.

  • Glasgow Coffee Festival has always been in support of independent businesses and the growth of our local coffee industry. We are therefore a ‘not for profit’ event.

Profits have always been donated to charity. Our 2023 is no different, thanks to the sponsorship support by Dear Green, La Marzocco, KeepCup, Oatly and UsVThem.

This year we have formed a brand new community partnership with Hub International. This long term partnership will create Scotland’s first ever Barista scholarship, helping young people achieve careers in the coffee industry.

  • The Glasgow Coffee Festival team is monitoring coronavirus (COVID-19) advice provided daily by local government and the World Health Organisation.

We have adapted some of the festival formats to ensure there is minimal risk to all involved! All participating businesses follow current government guidelines.

To ensure there is a low risk of coronavirus for everyone participating in the Glasgow Coffee Festival we will have masks on-site as well as sanitisers available. To rinse and sanitise reusable cups at the festivals, 4 sanitising stations will be available.

It will NOT be compulsory for you to show a test to access the event. Please do not attend if you have tested positive for COVID-19.

The Health and Safety of all participants of Glasgow Coffee Festival is our priority. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 information, guidance and any local restrictions in place and will keep all ticket holders informed.
